We are in the NVC process for parents, after I submit my documents...

    1. how long does it take to get a interview?
    2. how/when do I schedule the finger print & medical exam?
    3. what do they need to bring to interview? should I make a second copy of documents to bring to the interview in case something gets lost?
    4. when will they know if they are approved?

Thank You Kindly (any and all advice welcome)

[QUOTE=collee;1495620]We are in the NVC process for parents, after I submit my documents...

    1. how long does it take to get a interview? Generally, once your applications are approved and you pay all the fees, designate an agent, etc, the documents are sent to the U.S. Consulate in Juarez and they will set up an interview. A year ago, they were setting up interviews three months in advance.
    2. how/when do I schedule the finger print & medical exam? The medical exam has to be completed at least two days from the date of the appointment. see: https://mx.usembassy.gov/wp-content/...SEP2016ENG.pdf You will also need to set up the courier service to receive the visa stamp on their passports (in case they are approved).

    3. what do they need to bring to interview? should I make a second copy of documents to bring to the interview in case something gets lost? Second copies are not necessary, however, do make sure your parents have all documents that are requested with them. Remember to have them request all originals as sometimes the consular officers will not return them. Many originals are difficult to replace so make sure you have copies of them for your own purposes.
    4. when will they know if they are approved? They will be given instructions at the conclusion of the appointment - whether they are approved or not.

Good luck to you and your parents!

Interview in a Week FREAKING OUT

We are just so worried. My husband's interview at CDJ Counsel is in a week. We are heading to Mexico in a few days and are just so worried. We have spent HOURS preparing all of his documents. He has everything under the sun including police clearances from every city we've lived in and adjacent cities, he did get arrested once for no DL and we have the court paperwork on that saying he fulfilled everything. We have every certificate imaginable. We have spent HOURS doing practice interviews.

We have never lied to the government. We don't plan to start now. We are just so worried. Neither of us can sleep. Anyone else deal with this feeling? Should we be so nervous?

Hi CaseyLE82. I was a total wreck when my husband had his appointment 2 years ago! He had been caught at the border once, and arrested for no DL as well. We took all the documents we could think of (and more), and they didn't ask him for anything, not even what the appointment letter stated that he needed.

Terrible luck at Cdj: waiver approved but didnít show in system. VISA denied

So my good friends have had their provisional waiver approved and had his appointment in Juarez yesterday. Apparently, the system they checked did not show his waiver was approved, so his visa was denied. His wife called USCIS who also said it wasnít showing as approved. She escalated to a supervisor, who was able to see that his waiver was approved and it wasnít showing in the correct system. She asked what she need to do, and the supervisor said she was going to email someone in USCIS to fix the issue, but that she should contact her congressmen???? Meanwhile, her husband and father of her two children is stuck in Mexico for no good reason. What should she do? I told her to call the NVC on Monday. Has anyone ever heard of this happening? Iím so heartbroken for them.
