    Help with adjustment please

My mom and stepdad filed for my adjust of status when I was 20 but they got married after my 18th birthday so my i485 was denied. The denial letter stated that I was not considered his step child because of that, the letter stated I should leave the us as soon as possible because my visa was expired. I never left because my family is here and I donít know the rest of my family back in my country. I got married two years later and had a baby, my husband was very abusive so I filed for Vawa. My question is will I have any problems adjusting my status when the time comes? Will I need a waiver or anything else?

The fact you were not eligible to be petitioned by your step-dad has no bearing on your VAWA immigration case.
