I need help with which forms to file

My husband came into the US legally. I am a US citizen.. We want to apply for adjustment of status. I know we can send in the form I-130 an I-485 together, but I am unsure if we are supposed to send in any other forms along with those two. Also, I saw on the USCIS website that the form for employment authorization costs $410, but on another forum post, I was told it was free. Can someone please clarify ?

Filing I-765 for EAD and I-131 for Advance Parole are free for I-485 applicants. They are not required but they are recommended to be able to work and/or travel in the meantime, because you can never predict how long I-485 can take. They are free, so there is no downside.

Each form requires many supporting documents and forms. Read the form instructions for more information.

What should I put for his immigration status part in the form 1-485
& also for th box that says "in care of", should I put myself or our sponsor?

You did not say what his status is, so we can't help you with that. Basically, it's the same as whatever visa he entered on (unless he changed status after entering), and is what is shown on his latest I-94.

"in care of" is for when you are using someone else's address for the mailing address; then it would be "in care of" that person. If not using someone else's address, leave it blank.
