Hope this helps people, just got off the phone with the NVC, spoke with a very nice agent there. She said that a police certificate from here is not required and as of now if you are from Mexico one is not required from there. Only thing they ask for from here are any court documents from anytime you were in trouble here, not a police certificate from everywhere you have lived because they already have your record from when your prints are obtained during the waiver process. If you receive a letter stating they need a police certificate it would pertain from your country of origin not the U.S.

So is the police record supposed to be from here or there? And I did see someones letter on a facebook page showing the same thing that @Nohemi listed above without an X mark, so does anyone know if that changed this year and if so where is the police certificate supposed to be from. I would think it would be impossible to get one from the U.S. considering we have moved around and we have city county and state here not to mention Federal, and those would be hard to obtain considering they only give you a month or so from the time they send you a letter to the time you actually have to be in Ciudad Juarez for your Visa Interview. I believe it is supposed to be from their country of origin, my husband left Mexico at the age of 16 and never had a record there.
Angelaaurelia if you need help with the subject about the certificates let me know. I can help you my husband and I already finished the process and was approved for the visa on the 14th of March. I opened a support group on facebook if you would like to join please do so and if you want to ask anything I am there to answer upon my experience.

Hi guys. I read that as of March 2017 it is now required to get Mexican Police certificates. Has anybody done this recently? How did you get it? Only the state certificate required? I would like to discuss how someone got theirs. My wife doesn't know anybody in the state of Mexico where she is from. Curious to know how she can get the certificate from here.
