    Our I-601 Journey Begins

My husband had his IV interview in Tegucigalpa today, and his visa was denied as we anticipated. We knew it was coming, but today made it real.

Now we begin our I-601 waiver journey. I have been working on it for a few weeks now, so I should be able to send it before the end of the week. I will be posting it for review soon!

Good luck to all the familias out there waiting to be reunited with their loved ones! May this week bring lots of approvals!

Good luck!! Here's hoping for a fast approval!!
My husband EWI from Mexico in 1991, and we married in 2011 and filed the I-130. By February 2012, he had his visa appointment in Juarez, and we were one of the first Lockbox filers in July 2012. It took us less than a month for approval! No lawyer used, but only because the one we initially retained turned out to be horrible. Don't make our same mistake!! Use an experienced, recommended attorney!

Thanks, girlies! I should be posting by the end of the week!!!!!

One quick question: Do I (or hopefully not!) need my marriage certificate translated to English to send? I think so if I have read the instructions correctly, but I wanted to confirm!

Thanks for your info! I didn't have it translated for the NVC step, but the I-601 directions explicitly state it. Anyone know for sure?
