But it also depends on your case, like do they have all needed background checks and documents, do they need anythign from an archive they forgot to order, do they need to type up an RFE or just enter an Approval in the system....
See I ask that because someone got their case expedited 33 days ago and they STILL haven't heard anything. It would be nice if there was rhyme and reason... Maybe their background checks are taking longer. They DO do background checks again right?

Zell:: I did not have second interview,my last interview was on June 2011.I picked up my passport at American Express office in "Gujranwala" because this is close to my city. But if you are in Islamabad they will send your passport at Islamabad American Express office.
I did not pay the visa fee this time,I think it was paid a long time ago I don't even remember. It was updated on April 9th as Adminestrating Processing, but on April 30th I got my visa stamped. Two days latter I received the phone call from American Expres that my passport is ready to pickup.

Okay. Thanks for the information. My case was approved on April 5th.My case also went to administrative processing on April 9th. But they required a corrected I-864 form which i sent in which is why i think mine is taking more time. How did you recieve the package that you gave at the embassy? Did you also recieve the package at the American Express Office? And yes im in Islamabad.

    Hello and welcome!!

9 months is a long time! That's way outside normal times! I hope you hear something soon!
My husband EWI from Mexico in 1991, and we married in 2011 and filed the I-130. By February 2012, he had his visa appointment in Juarez, and we were one of the first Lockbox filers in July 2012. It took us less than a month for approval! No lawyer used, but only because the one we initially retained turned out to be horrible. Don't make our same mistake!! Use an experienced, recommended attorney!

    Welcome to the I2US Family
I agree 9 months is an extremely long time without hearing any progress.
I would call USCIS and tell the customer service rep that you want to speak to a tier 2 rep.
A Tier 2 rep have access to more information on you case. Tell them the steps you have taken so far without being informed of any process on your case. Also ask them to file a service request. Another option is do you have a circumstances in which you can expedite your case? If so go that route. And what state are you in? Maybe you can seek assistance through another congressman representative.
Hoping your approval (blessing) comes quickly!

Hubby is in Trinidad.. We've contacted one senator in December and they were told we should have a response or other notice of action within 30 days..and nothing, so I'm now waiting for a response from the other senator. We'll call USCIS again tomorrow and ask for tier 2 rep..just seems like we keep getting the same response that they never follow through with
