Don't think like that....No question or concern is stupid, I think if it wasnt for I2US I would be sooo lost in terms of terminology. Put it this way, its like learning a whole new vocabulary with numbers and codes...lol

I just spoke to my lawyer in regard to this particular question and yes that is very normal. Since I started the I-130 on my own I was receving all the notifications in regards to my husbands case, now I recevied a letter in the mail yesterday in regards to the NVC and saw it was the Case #, Invoice # and Beneficiary Id # and then with all the forms that go along with it like the choice of agent and instruction sheet.

So I paid the $88 dollars, but until they accept your choice of agent (whomever you choose) then the system will make the IV payment an option and you will be able to pay it. My lawyer said it will take anywhere from 5-8 business days for them to receive it.

She also said to start gathering all the necessary documents that are going to be needed for the intended immigrant to proceed with the NVC.

Actually mainly the communication is done through e-mail, but once your case is at NVC they will send you a letter with your case number, invoice ID # and beneficiary #. Once you log on and pay the AOS fee the submission of documents will be through e-mail cause you will be able to add an email account.
