Wink We got approved!!!! Today!!! Need to send passport to ciudad Juarez for stamping??

Hi everyone!! We finally got approved and we're so happy! I had been on administrative processing so they had sent me my passport back when I got that notice. I know I need to send it back to get stamped with the visa. Does anyone know how long that takes on average?? What else should I expect?? Can I just go to Juarez and get it stamped? Is that even possible?? Thank you for all your input and we will post our approved I-601 waiver letter when my husband brings he computer to Tijuana.

congrats on the approval!! If it has been 6 months or less since the initial medical exam, you do not have to do anything except send the passport back to CDJ via DHL. Then they put the visa inside and send it back to you.

Congratulations! When you send in your passport they will place the new visa in it. Then you can go to any border crossing (or fly) and they will stamp it at the border/airport. You don't necessarily have to go back to Juarez to do this. So wonderful to have you off of our waiting list and can't wait to see you post that you're back in the US!

@magrc Ive been in Mexico for 2 yrs and counting. I got my very first appointment notice while I was in Mexico for a year and 4 months (December 9, 2010). My I-130 was approved n I was informed I would have to file a I-601 waiver. Scheduled my waiver appointment for February 22 2011. Went to Juarez and turned it in. About a month n a week later I got my passport back via DHL and a notice telling me I had been put on administrative processing and to wait until further notice. I received my I-601 approval notice on June 3, 2010. I hope that helped
