Moving to Honduras next month.. how do i know when interview will be?

Hubby is already in Honduras waiting for our interview and the kids and I are leaving next month to meet him and continue waiting. We have done everythin with our lawyer and he told us we are just waiting for an interview now with the embassy. It will probably be next month they said. Is there anyway to know in advance or do I need to wait until they send an appointment to my lawyer? I am planning to pick up my 601 waiver before I leave to go to Honduras so I can have it with me. How long is Honduras taking right now to approve the waivers? We are hoping to be back by the end of the year or at least the beginning of next year. It's all in God's hands now... Good luck to everyone else in these tough situations.. )

    Padilla,

You can check on the NVC website to see if you case has been scheadule. or call (603) 334-0700 to check status of case you will need to your NVC case number or you can click on this link and find the interview visa scheadule http://honduras.usembassy.gov/iv.html

I am Sad to say the wait for Honduras right now is over 12 months. as of right now they are still processing cases from April 2010.... Also in case you are not aware waivers are no longer allowed to be submitted day of interview, you will have to scheadule a second appointment to submit it.... here is the link for waiver waiting list http://honduras.usembassy.gov/dhs-uscis_waivers.html

Good luck with everything. Are you going to apply for residency there? I'm moving down there in December and trying to figure out how easy or difficult that process is. I'll be there for at least five years though (hubby missed court date and got 5 yr ban). If you do apply for residency, could you keep me posted on the process? Thanks a ton!

BPadilla88: When I sent all the last paperwork and forms and paid all the fees to NVC I waited a month and they (NVC) requested a missing Birth Certificate on the long form, and then quick after i sumitted the missing form it took almost a month for them to send me a letter with interview appt. but dont worry they give u enough time to prepare yourself (a month) but remember u have to make time to do the medical test and police certificate and the rest in Tegus, i came two weeks before the interview.... now u asked about timeline...i had my interview last week of november 2010 turned in waiver and waiver got accepted December 10, 2010... it seems that they r working forever on April waivers and im down to December 2010...just be prepared mentally and economically that ur husband will be here for a while (not forever but sometime)...personally i opened up a store of used clothin and other stuffs.... this is my little story!!

How cute, wait till she speaks both language in a sentence. Have a question and hope you can help. My hubby needs to get his sons passport in Honduras, do you know where he must go and if they are actually giving them now? He is close to San Pedro(40 minutes) Thanks
