Question Need your kind and honest opinion on my husbands case !!!

I am a usa citizen. My husband have no criminal history though living in since 1995. He had EWI and filled political asylum. since he was 17 ( +/_ ) at that time IJ didnt recognized his case a persecuted political victim and orderd deported But he didnt leave also his attorney filed appeal to the court. Board of appeal denied and orderd to be deported but he didnt know since he was not living at that addresse.Until last year 2010 he found out that when he went to a lawyer. His asylum case lawyer was apprehended by lying on many cases to the court on many asylum cases and got suspended his licenses.

His lawyer didnt pay attention to his case in detail and took advantages of his not speaking english enough and forced him to do what he was told. My husband didnt speak english much at that time and he was forced to sign docs and the attorney messup his lifes. since then he distrusts lawyers and dont want to fwd his cases with anyone..However, After we got married legally 2yrs back ..i have been telling him to apply for status of adjustment but he doesnt know what to do where to start with. Recently meet with one attorney and he said he wanted to see the case was filed by his previous attorney. He is been living since then didnt leave the country, No Criminal record or anything. what is his possibilities of getting adjustement from usa without leaving the country ? any opinion would be much appreciated...sorry for poor english.
He needs to see his mom..imagine someone living in this country without seeing family members for a decade or more..pls help on advicing the right path.
    God Bless you all.

At this point, I would be surprised if he were able to file in the US but I would HIGHLY recommend that you consult with someone that has experience with denied asylum and seeing if you can get it re-opened somehow. A lot of it depends on how everything was handled (or, sadly, mishandled in this case) originally. If you haven't yet, I would recommend consulting with one of the attorneys on our recommended list (as well as the one that you just visited) to get another opinion. I'm sorry and good luck.

I would have thought the chance was zero.

But with a false asylum claim you definitely need good legal advice.
