    ds-230 vs ds-260

I got an email conf of my I-130 with receipt # starting with WAC, does that mean it is not going to be MEP?
What is the difference between a ds-230 and ds-260? I know ds-260 is online, but are they the same forms?

typically the number you get while the I-130 is processing will change once it gets approved and sent to NVC. Once it gets to NVC they assign a different case number based on which country and consulate the case will be going to for the visa appointment. So in your case, the WAC is just for the I-130 stage. Once it gets sent to NVC, you will know whether you can file the DS-230 or the DS-260.
No one can make you feel inferior without your consent

I believe that is correct. There are three other consulates doing Electronic Processing, but only Mexico cases get MEP (Mexico Electronic Processing) case numbers. The others get different case numbers.

I'm not sure if all Mexico cases are now MEP, but I suppose one good way to know would be to see if all the new Mexico cases to arrive at the NVC on this forum (and perhaps VisaJourney) are getting MEP numbers and doing electronic processing. It would definitely make sense if they were.

One last thing - if your I130 is approved after October 2010 (this is your case) then you will most likely be assigned an MEP case #. Electronic processing moves very quickly, only that you have to read instructions very carefully - for example - don't send any originals via mail - just scan and email and then take the originals to your IV appt. also - remember to take to the appt your Affadavit of Support.. this is not clear on thier instructions, so I sent my hubby without it (i figured they'd have it) and they held him there for like 4 hrs.... he was worried they were going to deny him the opportunity for a waiver..

You should probably get your I130 approval notice sometime in early July. Good luck -- remember I'm right around the corner
