    Oops! It's actually the mottled brown that I like. It's very warm. I really like some of the outdoor portraits on the website. Nice!

    ooooooh tropical.... Thanks for posting that link to that photography website.... i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the main picture on that page (i know that's not the one you were referring to for linking it....buuuut....hehe) - family of four - mom is wearing a purple jacket and dad and two little boys with jackets - all in jeans.... its not all matchy-matchy but they are similar with the jeans and all... totally gives me ideas for our pic when hubby comes home!!! Thanks!!!!!!!

    A personal opinion on white and black shirts in photographs:

    White can be a difficult color to pull off. If there is a lot of contrast with the person's skin and the white shirt with a darker background, your eyes initially go straight for the white, not the person's face. White also tends to wash people out, no matter the skin tone.

    I would also avoid black shirts for similar reasons.

    But! If you really love the white idea, then go for it. There are some pictures where people wear white and they look great. As long as everyone has a good time and the pictures turn out decently, right?

    I think a white background with your family wearing different shades, patterns, and textures of red could be really cool.
