Asking for continued prayers and good thoughts! I was able to apply with a bunch of temp agencies who are contracted by the VA hospital in the outpatient pharmacy and two different hospitals. I applied on Friday before my internet was accidentally disconnected. It was out all weekend and now I have a bunch of applications to follow up on. A headhunter for a "women, minority-run" staffing agency that is consistently contracted by the Department of Defense contacted me this past weekend to add a letter of intent to in a bid to also work for the VA hospital (mail order part of the pharmacy).

Yay! Sounds like there might be something in the works. Government job - great benefits and the pay ain't bad either.

I have another interview at a medical staffing agency tomorrow. I would appreciate good vibes, prayers, etc that A) the interview will be less humiliating than my last interview (hehe) and B) that I may be offered a job that I can gain precious experience at, work their hours, and possibly something that leads to being hired with the actual company. Hopefully that isn't too much to ask for. Thanks so much, you all!

    Small update:

I had a feeling that the recruiter's offer wasn't completely telling the truth and he wasn't. He interviewed me today for a different position than what he originally interviewed with me by phone. The real job sounded great for someone not wanting/needing to work in a pharmacy setting. The fake job sounded that great for someone like me.

The schedule was also not going to work the best (husband and I have only one car, would be working in places not accessible by public transportation, and cannot afford childcare even with both of us working two jobs -- plus picking up the kids when I get home would be tough even if I could afford day care since I don't have a car and public transportation where I live is good, but not great). My husband has very kindly said he would try to cut back his hours or quit completely if I find a job that pays equal or more to what he is making now, but so far, I haven't been able to find that.

At least the interview was not humiliating like the last one.

I would definitely appreciate continued good vibes, thoughts, and prayers if you can. Thanks so much!

Please continue your prayers and/or good thoughts. I would really appreciate it.

I applied to 3 more jobs last week and was contacted by a head hunter over the weekend, but he has yet to reply to my email.

My husband has a client at his job whose sister is a district manager for a large retail chain and my husband's client said that he recommended I apply and let his sister try to work some magic to get me into one of the pharmacies. The website claims they are not hiring PTs right now, though, so I don't know how much magic she can work, but I guess we'll see.
