Yesterday Aug 23 was my interview. I arrived 20 minutes early and waited about an hour to be seen. The guy who interviewed me had a very serious demeanor. He asked me questions in regard to myself and my spouse. How long we've been married, where we live, our anniversary, our DOB's, where we met and all that good stuff. He asked me 3 different times how many kids we had haha. I told him the same thing all three times ZERO! He went through my file where I noticed my hardship letter was sittingI always wondered what happened to the little guy
. He asked me to read three sentences and write down the answer to one. He asked me all 10 civics questions, I think I got them all right but I was nervous and we moved really fast so I don't remember. Finally a smile broke through his lips when he said "congratulations mrs. Candy I am recommending you for citizenship" right after he said it he caught himself and said can I get some documentation to provide as proof of the marriage?! I said all I brought are my last 3 yrs of taxes. He asked if we had insurance or bank accounts together I stated we had several but that I didn't have the proof. He said that's fine don't worry about it I'll just keep the tax returns. Overall he was very serious but very pleasant. Yay!
