    Pipida Scan

Ok everyone...A while back we were talking about gallbladder problems. I have been seeing a Gastro-guy because I was in the hospital June 13th for abdominal pain. So he wanted me to get this pipida scan. Well the nurse messed up and scheduled me for a gastric emptying study. It took them three weeks and me calling every day to finally get an appointment.

I went to the appointment last week and the doctor was looking at the results and says "oh wait..you had the wrong test". Mind you this is THREE WEEKS after I had the test! So he scheduled me for this PIPIDA SCAN tomorrow. I am kind of nervous because I have heard horror stories of nausea and pain.

Has anyone had this test? What can I expect?

Hubby had this done when he started having gall bladder problems he said that yes he did get nausea, but no pain. He said to tell you he's still here and you will be just fine!
    Edit:

Apparently its very similar to HIDA Scan, what I have read they just use a different injectable material.............I hope you get some relief as I had gallbladder problems for 2 years before they finally diagnosised correctly, then surgery.......relief!

Ok...I had my test today and the tech "unoffically" asked me who was going to watch my son when they took my gallbladder out. He said he couldn't give me any indication of anything but that my gallbladder is not impressive. Of course that just makes me sick with worry. I am going back to work next week. My husband is set for his waiver appointment in three weeks from tomorrow. This is just one more thing on top of all the other stress....UGH

I'm sorry about the unimpressive gall bladder, but you're in good company. I never expected when I first asked about gall bladders that as many people on here as there are have the same problem.
