For those of you who are familiar with La Gringa's Blogicito, she has a yahoo group called "Honduras Living." There, I have gotten some reallllly good information about hotels and lodging from the ex-pats.

We live in Florida and my husband went to the consulate in Miami. He did NOT have a cedula (Honduran ID) but he was able to renew it there and have it expedited. We went on a Friday and he had the renewed passport by the next Friday!

At the one in DC my husband also paid for expedited but we only had to wait a few hours and it was ready.

    Hotels in Tegucigalpa.....

When I went for our interview we stayed at the Marriott: Tegucigalpa! It was a very nice hotal and about a 10 minute drive from/to the Toncontin International Airport.

This particular hotel is next door to the presidential palace. And is about 5 minutes (not even) to the MultiPlaza. It is about a 10 minute ride to the US Embassy.

I will be posting more hotels also!

    More Hotels in Tegucigalpa

There is also the Intercontinental, which was directly across the street from the MultiPlaza.
