    NVC, timeline

Hey there! Once I send the I-260s, and documents, how long is the NVC taking to schedule interviews in Ciudad Juarez? How far are appts. at this moment? Also, do you think that with the possible government shut down due to the 2014 fiscal year budget that's stuck in Congress, there will be more delay?
    Thanks!

My BIL still is not scheduled for an appointment. This is getting frustrating! We called last week and they said "wait for them to contact you blah blah blah."

This is getting old. Anyone else received an appointment yet?

Thanks, Starcrossed11!!! I called the NVC today and the case was closed on Oct. 24. So looking at your BIL's timeline, they scheduled his appt one month and ten days after his case closed. Then he got the appt for Dec. 2, that's around 2 months and a half. So, we might get the consulate appt for late January, because of the December holidays.

I'm so nervous, but grateful to my Heavenly Father for moving the process along!

I believe the NVC is taking more like 6 weeks to schedule people. So I would give it a few more weeks. And I have never heard them describe anyone in administrative processing (AP). That normally is the term used when people are waiting on a visa.
