Same here, my friends just pretty much said how long they've known my husband and I. They also spoke of specific things like how all the couples got together twice a month to have couples night. The letters were very short and to the point. I had a total of four letters 2 from his male friends and 2 from my female friends. Of course the letters from the females were nicer but it worked out in the end. My I130 was approved in less than 4 months.

    THANKS!!!!

I would like to see samples too. My husband and I have known each other for over 5 years, but just got married in June. I feel like we may need to send letters as well, but not sure how to word them. I would really like to see samples to have an idea to show whoever wants to write them for us.

the letters that they wont is really just to see how people no of your marriage i looked up this alot and they do say to include some personal details of like double dates and stuff like that you also have to have then include the address and DOB as well and from what i read it is better to have them notarized but im guessing it is not needed

There is no need for the petitioner/beneficiary to send affidavits/letters with the I-130. What they should send is what the I-130 requires and pictures like many here have done. I don't think it would hurt to send them but it is just going to put a lot of pressure on the adjudicating IO. just saying.

If it does and you can get people to write them, go ahead like I said in the post it should not hurt the application if you send a few letters.

My attorney filed my application and did not asked for letters, send pics if you want to prove you have a bonafide marriage.
