    What's next?

My husband a US citizen received a mail stating that our case was approved... He called yesterday and they said they mailed out the DS-3032 to him.. We had already printed out the DS-3032 form and signed it already.. Should he fill out the firm and send it to them via email? and can someone tell me how long would I have to wait to receive the DS-230 ? and how log more will i have to wait to be with my husband?

    Hello!

You can see the "spouse visa" link in my signature for a flow chart of what happens at the NVC. There is a lot of paperwork to file through the NVC after an I-130 is approved.

I don't know how much longer it is going to take for your case. There are a lot of details missing. If you would like, share your immigration history and your criminal history. This will help. If you need an I-601 waiver or other types of waivers, it adds considerable time to a person's time they are separated from their spouse.

As far as if you should email in the form to them or mil in the form. You can opt to be in electronic processing. I know for myself and my husband I had to email NVCElectronic.state.gov and just say I wanted to be in electronic processing (but you have to have your case number from NVC first I think). You may want to call them just to verify. Also so you know. Once you go into electronic processing they will no longer accept anything mailed in. Everything has to be scanned and sent electronically and then originals brought to interview.

So has your case been received then by the NVC? If so generally the NVC stage does not take that long especially if you are enrolled in electronic processing. basically after filling out the DS-3032 you will pay your Affidavit of Support fee and then complete the AOS, then you will have to pay the IV Filing fee and then he will complete his application and send in all supporting documents, from there NVC will close the case and forward on for you to have your immigration interview.
Total the NVC stage can take just about a month to a little over as long as they don't need to request additional items from you.
