I am so sorry to hear that. Well since it was a thick packet maybe they needed more time to review. The standard time to review is 15 min i think. Dont worry it is not a denial and you still have a chance to get it approved.

I'm so sorry to hear that! You mentioned in your divorce decree that u can't take your older children out of the country as long as he is undocumented. Then you mentioned their father had nothing to do with them. Do you have full physical/legal custody? Does your divorce decree say your children can't have passports? A visitor visa in Mexico is good for up to 6 months. I have full physical and legal custody of my two oldest children they have passports and I can take them to Mexico. Now if I wanted to move to Mexico I would have to ask the court as my children can only live in either Michigan or Missouri. Good luck!

We have joint custody but he lives in Alaska due to his job. Some things happened over the summer and the last time they talked to each other was Christmas. It states that I am not allowed their passports in my possession as long as my hubby is undocumented. I never thought about a visitor visa. He wants us to go visit him now he will be gone longer but I'm not sure if I can handle a 2, 4, 10 & 12 y/o by myself on a plane even though the older ones are use to flying back and forth between Houston and Fairbanks!

Wait you allowed them to put that in your divorce decree of being undocumented?? How did they know that, and sorry but there is no way I would have allowed that in a divorce decree.

Sorry to hear about your referral. We were also referred for lack of sufficient evidence. I sent additional evidence twice during the 18 months that he was backlogged. I also have 2 kids from a previous marriage, but none with him since I had my tubes tied after my 2nd child. Like the others said, don't give up!! This is NOT a denial, just a referral so that they can review your case more. Send as much additional evidence as you can!
