How do we file new evidence - for emergency purposes?

    Hello!
I have a family emergency where I need to take care of my mother for a period of 2 months. I have no other family support and two small children who need me. We filed the i-601 in Juarez and are awaiting in February 2012 and are waiting on a response. In the meantime, how do I file the doctor's information for my mothers' condition??
    Any ideas?

At this point I would be hesitant to send anything - there is no guarantee that if you send it that it will make it into your file for consideration before the initial decision is made. And this isn't a life or death incident so your case probably isn't expedite worthy. Are you working with an attorney? You might want to just hold on to the information until you receive your decision, because it can make your packet stronger if you need additional hardship but it may be too late to be considered before then.

Please review the "Expedites" sticky in this section. I don't know your specific situation so I can't say what you should or should not do because surgery can be serious, but sometimes these situations sound like additional hardship situations, not expedite situations.

If your situation fits the exceptional circumstances that is required for expedites, you may consider expediting your case. Do not file file an expedite if your situation is not similar to the exceptional or extreme circumstances listed on the USCIS website or in the policy memorandum. If you are working with an attorney, your attorney must file the expedite.

only if I send them to Mexico but they are only 3 and 4 and they have not seen their father in 2 years. He is a total stranger to them.

No, I am not working with an attorney... no funds. I am only a few days from receiving a decision hopefully... I'll try to be patient. Thank you!
