Hey everyone I was wondering how long does it take to hear something from the nvc. Or the letter to pay the fees. It's been like a month and still nothing. Thanks

Uscis takes a few weeks to send the paperwork to nvc, be patient.
Don't you want to wait for the new lockbox to become available.

It took me just about 3 weeks from the time USCIS approved me until I received notification from NVC with my case number and what not

Valentines 2010 - took the plunge and went to Canada to meet
July 2011 - Married
Nov 2011 - Filed I-130
Dec 2011 - I-130 Approved
Jan 2012 - processing with NVC
Feb 2012 - paid AOS and IV filing fees
Feb 2012 - Submitted AOS
March 2012 - Husband completed online DS-260
April 2012 - NVC Closed Case - Waiting for Montreal Interview date
May 2012 - Received interview date of June 18th from NVC

I think in general from the USCIS approves you until NVC actually receives everything and contacts you they do say it can take about 3 weeks. I think it just takes that long for them to actually receive it from USCIS

Hi Chulex! The approval letter says that it may take 30 days. I know some people get their number assigned sooner....u may want to call the NVC if you are getting inpateint....which is understandable. The number is 603-334-0700.

dont worry you will hear something soon. it took us 8 months with uscis and then a few weeks to hear from NVC. i did everything with NVC right away even though they give you up to a year to do. once i paid fees ad sent in all info they wanted it took less than 30 days for NVC to approve everything but it took over 3 months before we got an interview for my husband.
