Can a salvadorean with tps travel and then re-enter?

Ok, my parents have had tps since 2001, my church is planning a missions trip there for next year.
Q1. Can they travel outside the united states? (Both entered ewi)
is a given I understand they can.
Q2. Could they re-enter? here is the hard part.
And what would they need filed in order to be able to re-enter the U.S
I have read there's advance parole but how does it work?
Also, people have left and re-enter but I think it was because they had a parent dying and were approved.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Have they renewed their passports?

    Q2

Do they otherwise have a ban?

    A1. yes
A2. No. They would be triggering the 10 year ban if they were to leave without notifying the uscis I think.

I know several Hondurans with TPS that have traveled with permission to and from Honduras several times over the years. They usually say they are visiting a sick family member. They have not had issues. Others fear traveling because they worry they won't be allowed back in. I don't know if those fears are founded or not. I am interested to hear the "official line" on this one......

They need advance parole and should not leave the US until the talk to a good immigration attorney because while they are protected from being removed, they are not protected from receiving other immigration bans. If they leave, they may not be allowed re-entry.

Also, I don't know that AP protects someone from receiving a 9C ban upon successful re-entry if they already have a 9B ban and the AP is approved and they are allowed re-entry. They must consult with an immigration attorney.

Not to scare anybody. But My friend went to El Salvador with a permit I do not know what they are call. but he had a letter where it say when he could leave and when to come back. well, he left but when he come back in, he was not allowed.

the mistake was that he did not read the letter right. the timing was already expired. inmigration made a mistake but they did not care at customs so he still there.'

Just becareful cause when you leave you do not have no more rights.

this happen about 10 years ago he had TPS.
    but, maybe things have change.
    good luck.

Thanks all, I think is safer to just talk to an experience immigration attorney.

Do you guys think that if the church were to request he travels out and be permitting back would help in any way?

I don't think they care if someone is traveling with a religious organization or a school group or with anyone. Many people with TPS don't leave the country because of all of these ifs... worth a consult fee with an attorney. Good luck!

Definitely talk to a lawyer. AP documents are almost automatically issued to everyone with TPS, but many people who get them are not eligible to actually use them.
Please post your immigration questions on the forum, not in a private message. Always consult an experienced lawyer before filing.
*If you believe you or someone on your behalf checked the "US Citizen" box on an employment document, please do not send a private message. Talk to a trusted lawyer about what could happen. *

A letter from religious workers will not help someone avoid being banned or refused entry. I'm sorry.

Being granted Advance Parole does not mean a person is truly eligible to be going back and forth from the US, especially with immigration bans. I know that seems counterproductive, but I think part of the problem is that I-131 is not adjudicated the same way AOS or consular cases are processed. They're two (kind of) different issues.

Please let us know what happens with your consultation.
