    They can't bypass the BC because the Mexican officials claim the mother's BC is too old and plus she laminated it. They believe it's counterfeit. Also to they said they need more evidence, as in blood tests and birth records of the mother because the officials believe she's not the biological mother. Only because of one misprint! Also too, her young sister has the same name issues on her BC. Everything else her mother has goes with Maria Laura, instead of Laura Maria. He license, voter ID, and utilities records.

    There is no way to get around as her mother has no form of official ID.

    But in the end the process was thrown out the window as she had a miscarriage.

    I'm sorry about the miscarriage.

    Maybe this would be a good time to get things straightened out then. If the mother has to start with ID first, that should be done first. That way, in case the daughter wants to apply for a visa some other time, they will not have to get stuck like they did this time. It may be a long process, but worth it. Even if she never applies for a visa, it is always good to have a passport.
