Despite the number of people seeking info on and filing this waiver, they never seem to come back to tell us their experiences when they finish. If they did, I would gladly gather them together into an information and experience thread for future filers. I know there is one approved I-192 story around here, but it was from a really long time ago and I can't find it. We've had quite a few people on here posting during the waiting process for general d3 waivers, but again, we don't seem to hear back from them once they get a decision. I really encourage you to keep in touch throughout your waiver process so that maybe you could be the pioneering one to help us build an information/experience thread on I-192!
Please post your immigration questions on the forum, not in a private message. Always consult an experienced lawyer before filing.
*If you believe you or someone on your behalf checked the "US Citizen" box on an employment document, please do not send a private message. Talk to a trusted lawyer about what could happen. *

I can think of 2, one was in Germany and the other in Brazil or Argentina.

There was also one involving Mexico but that was an E1 Visa, I assume most interest is in B2.

Ditto to LG. Unfortunately it seems to be very rare for non-immigrant waiver filers to come back and give a detailed report of what they did, the outcome, and any other details. I would love to find out more about the waivers myself. Keep hanging out in the non-immigrant waiver section and watching for new stories or updates.

I have heard Laura Fernandez has done a at least one non-immigrant waiver, I think, and it was a (d)(3), but she may be a good one to try to consult with to see if she has ideas about the I-192 or can refer you to anyone.

Also, the moderator emt may have some insight about I-192s. She is really busy right now so not as active as some of the other moderators, but she definitely has a lot of helpful knowledge.

I filed my I-192 along with I-212 at Perason Airport (Toronto) on Feb. 5, 2012.
When I got there at 6:30, there were 20 people before me waiting for the office to open.
Some people had arrived at 2:30 in the morning. One person came from Windsor, Ont. and another from
    London, Ontario.
There was a gentleman there who had done this process for a while and he had a sign up sheet
for arriving people to sign. The sign up sheet that officer will put out is when the office opens in the morning.
By then, we had almost 40 people waiting for the office to open.
The experience was very professional and after being processed (reviewing the documents to be filed by the officer (initial review to make sure everything needed is in the package), finger printing, and the fee payment), I was given a contact sheet to contact the office to inquire about my filed applications and whether they would need additional information within 3 months time.
My 3 months is up the end of next week.
Will keep you posted on the new developments.
