    Homemade household items?

I'm not sure if this is the right place or not to post this but i figured it's for my family so this might be a good spot.

Does anyone know how i can make shampoo/conditioner, body wash, laundry soap(i had a recipe but can't find it anymore) or any similar items. I know i can order all natural or handmade ones online but i can't really afford it and figured it would be cheaper to make it but i am not sure how. I have always liked the idea of using all natural or chemical free stuff but never really did it(my family would have all kinds of stuff to say but i don't care anymore) I just decided that i am trying to make us all eat healthier so i may as well try to make everything a little healthier and with all the stuff they add into the store bought stuff i figured it would be better if i made our own. Does anyone else do this or know where i should start?

i just got done making my own liquid laundry detergent for the first time last week. this is the site i used :http://whynotsew.blogspot.com/2010/0...detergent.html it works really well but i think next time i am going to make a dry version b/c it will last longer.

i havent tried anything else homemade but i have a looooot of ideas from pinterest.com if you aren't a member of that site, you can give me your email and i can send you an invite. you just look up the stuff you want and pin it to your "online pinboard" and refer to it whenever you want. i have really been in the mood lately to start doing stuff homemade. i can't wait to try more things, other than the laundry detergent.

I make my own laudry soap using the duggar recipe. It works great! I use vinegar in my downy ball for softener. I make my own all purpose cleaner. I got the recipe from DIY Natural, also got the recipe for homemade soap for the dishwasher. It works better than any store bought brand
