Question for Pharmacy Technicians

Hello!

I have a question for Pharmacy Technicians. Last yr I took a Pharmacy Tech course in college and passed but I failed the certification test. I have been applying at different pharmacies and see if they can train me and help me become certified? But I heard nobody does that anymore.. Is that true?

Most states require that pharmacies hire certified technicians. If you have connections in a pharmacy, they may let it slide, but it is hard to get a pharmacy to hire you with no experience and/or certification. People do get hired that way, but it is pretty rare these days especially because most states require certification before employment these days.

You can re-take the national exam again. What part did you struggle with most?

Also, be sure that you at least have a state license when you are applying for jobs.

Ohhhh.. I see. I suppose I better hit the books again,lol. I struggled with the math mostly. I didnt fail by much. I guess I should just keep trying! Thanks!
