I HATE job searching!!

I guess this could easily go in Soap Box too!! I just have to rant!
I applied for this job over a month ago, two weeks ago I finally got an interview. They said they would let me know last week or this week, which I'm guessing will probably be next week due to the holiday, apparently they are in no hurry.
Anyway, I use to work for the territory manager, she has a big part in the hiring process, so I thought that would help me out becuase I did a good job for her. I went to talk to her when I saw her in the store and she basically told me I did not want to leave my government job for this job and she would put in a word for me for part time. (OUCH!) The job I'm applying for would make more than three times a month what I am making here, that is the reason I want it.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure I am not going to get it. so I'm not getting my hopes up it just really frustrates me that my old boss didn't want to help me. I worked for her at a small restaurant so she was practically like my mom. She hasn't answered my call or a text I sent her. BUT she did put on the other applicants FB, "you still want a job" other applicant replied "He$$ yes". Not very professional to me, but hey....
So now here I am waiting... (and yes thankful to have a job period, but hey if I can get more money, I would be stupid not to look)
