My employer pays 100% of the premium for employee and dependents. Of course, all we get is health insurance. No dental or vision. Still, though, I've always suspected the fact that they cover it all for employee and dependents was pretty rare, and a pretty good deal, too.
All I can promise is that my intentions are good.

I am a U.S. citizen by birth, married to a man born in Mexico. He received his legal permanent residence visa in June of 2006 through my sponsorship and became a proud US citizen on November 18, 2009. We did not utilize the services of an attorney during any point in our immigration and naturalization journey. Although we were successfull without legal counsel, I would not advise anyone to make such a decision without very careful consideration. When I was working (I have friends still in the same company so I know it hasn't changed) our company payed 100% of our medical, dental, & vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 1 1/2x salary for life insurance. For dependents they paid 75% of medical, dental & vision. My hubby's current company pays 75% for all of us plus he gets STD, LTD, and 1x salary life insurance. We also have Cancer insurance because of family history, but that's at cost for us. All things considered it isn't bad, though I miss my old benefits.

I get 100 % of health and vision paid through my employer. My husband also does through his employer, but to add dependents it would be over $500 a month, so our kids are not on with either of us. Our employer use to pay for short term disability, but stopped due to budget cuts.

Cancer insurance? You mean, you have to get special insurance for that? I thought that cancer would be covered under health insurance.

Scary. Breast cancer runs in my family and I'm at higher risk anyway because I have hyperprolactaneamia (sp?) Maybe I should look into cancer insurance. I always just figured regular insurance would cover it if I got cancer.

I'm not sure with the recent changes to health law (because I'm not in the HR realm anymore) but it used to be that they could deny you coverage for it. I need to look up this stuff this year before annual enrollment.
