Very quickly, here is how it worked at the Chicago center:

My husband brought his biometrics notification and green card. This was required. He also had a DL and passport just in case. He arrived 15 minutes early and was able to start immediately.

He presented it to an officer who directed him to a room where he had to complete a short biographical information form.

Once that was completed, he had to wait for 4 other people to be finger printed. He was digitally fingerprinted on both hands, every finger. He was then fingerprinted once more on his left hand.

He had one picture taken.

Then he was done. He had to complete a short customer service survey about the ease of the process, the efficiency of the process, and a few other things.

This was relatively painless. The interview is next.
