So I just read the thread on it (thanks for the link!) and it turns out it not your 2nd wedding anniverasry but the 2nd anniv. of the issue date on the card...or at least that how it seems to written. It says to check the date on the GC and apply as soon as it reaches 90 days before exp of it but not before as it wont be accepted. seems like a lot of work involved in it too! Guess I will call USCIS when I get to the US to make sure.
I plan on becoming a USC so when issued the 10 year card, I wont have to keep doing this whole mess and I will be able to vote and come and go as I please with no rigorous checks at POEs.

Any word from the visa delivery company yet KiahsWife? We've been trying to track the visa, but failed. I'm not even sure the passport has got to the embassy yet....
nope no luck. i was told that from today i would be able to track it and when i try (repeatedly!!!) it says they do not recognise the tracking number. Additionally, I cannot call as for some reason my phone is disconnected. This should not have happened until 2nd sept so I am well and truly stuck. I have things I need to do and now I need to go to town to see about getting my phone sorted out and im trapped in the house stressed out to the max over this whole thing! This biiiig loooong headache is not going away! Until the visa shows up, i cant get my landlord round to inspect and get my deposit back and book the flight until i have it, i cant call to pay the shipping company or give them my flight number. My husband went to great lengths to get next tues and wed of work so when i arrive we have a couple of days just us and now im freaking out i wont be flying on Monday like i so want to. its all such a big mess!!!!!
