my husbands waiver was approved but they told us we needed to bring some additional documents and they will call has anybody deposited documents on window 26 at the us embassy in santo domingo? If so how long does it take for them to verify?

This isn't that uncommon for consulates - they will want updated information (like a DS-230, sometimes an updated I-864, new passport pics, etc.) in order to process the visa. Not sure about this specific consulate so hopefully someone can chime in. Congrats on the approval and good luck with the final steps!
