I-864 Affidavit of Support QUESTION. NVC

Hi i'm trying to assemble my NVC package and was wondering If I could use my friend as a sponsor. He is in the U.S Air Force but is not a U.S citizen. He is a permanent resident. I am the one being sponsored so my employment is illegal so I have to rely solely on my friends for sponsorship. My wife is not employed.

your wife even unemployed will still fill out her own 864 and yes your friend as long as he is a legal resident can fill one out too. He will have to fill out a seperate 864 form. Since he is in the military I believe his minimum income required is less than if he was not. Be sure to incude a copy of the front and back of his green card when submitting his 864 as proof he is legal.

Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?”

Yes regardless of whether she is unemployed or not, she still has to fill out the I-864 because she is the Petitioner

yes exactly she would just put $0 under income, and there is a spot where she can mark unemployed and dates. Its a given in juarez that people illegaly work and so they dont really hold it against you. If you are in fact going thru CDJ when you do NVC you will scan and email the 864 and accompanying documents, when you get your first interview down there you will need to take the joint sponsors 864 and documents so they can see them, the actual papers.
