The first thing to do is read as much as possible in the sections concerning your particular case. Especially the 'STICKIES', they are extremely valuable. There are posts with guidelines and answers to questions that are the most asked.

Please note that the "Blog" section is not the place to ask questions. If you post using a blog, your question will probably be overlooked. Be sure to post on the "Forum".

There are also some tools available to you to determine which members are experienced and provide helpful answers. First there is the General Postcount right under the avatar, this is a sum of all posts made by that particular member. No matter if it is immigration related or a reply to a joke or game. It kinda shows the activity that person has.

Second are the 'Thank Yous' a certain post gets. You can also find the total amounts of given and received 'Thank Yous' right under the Total Post count. Members give these out to other members if they feel the post has helped them. This can either be with an immigration question or with emotional problems. Out of experience we notice, 'ThankYous' are most used if a person has posted something to comfort the other person.

And then, ask as many questions as you can come up with, there is no such thing as asking too many questions. Most get answered within minutes while the tougher ones might take some longer (or if it is weekend).

The best way to get an answer is to post on the forum and not by sending private messages to people. By posting on the forum, you will get an answer quicker than through private message.
