Hello my name is Jessica I married my husband who is from Mexico in Jan 1998 and filed paperwork same day. He had been deported for illegally working in a factory april 1997 and 2 times tried to re enter and sent back at the border. in 2000 we were told to go out of the country to Mexico to adjust took 1 yr before we were given appt in Juarez went there and he was given a 10 year bar. Our 10 yrs past and we were given a run around Juarez told us to schedule appt we went then they said we never needed to do any of this that we needed to complete a 212 in US first so I came back to US completed and Detroit office took 3 months then replied with NO he needs to complete paperwork in Mexico...ugh...I was so mad So I contacted Carl Levins office a Michigan representative who emailed them in Juarez and in 1 month we where called by the US consulate in Juarez that his visa was ready????no paperwork no 601 no 212 nothing?? So I say contact your local government officials keep trying and trying someone should be able to help you guys I wish I would've done this sooner. But thank GOD we are done with this immigration problem. Our attorney was no help they were just as lost as we were
