I was just wondering what exactly it means that they sent you an approval notice??? I checked the status of our case thats what it is, it says to follow any steps on the letter they sent. My aunt is in charge of this so I have no idea of what it says, and I don't believe that she is totally on top of things. So can anyone answer what is next?

What is it that you filed? An approval means that that petition/application you filed was approved. Please let us know exactly what it is that you filed. :)

my mom's sister filed a family petition for her, and I am included in it as well as my sister and my dad
I seriously think that she has to apply for an adjustment of status now...but she is to scared to go to the nearest immigration office, she thinks that she is waiting for a "cita", and appointment
It has been approved since 2005 november, what does this mean for me? is everything delayed bcuz she hasnt filed an adjustment of status???

It would be easier if you could post exactly what the email said, including which cases it referenced.
It may be that one petition was approved and there other have not yet been approved - they are based on priority which is based on the relationshp to the USC and the country the applicant is from.
So the adjustment of status process for one approved applicant would not be directly related to the other petitions. Hope that makes sense.

peija,
If it has only passed 5 or 6 years you have a long ways to go. Unfortunatly, petition filed for siblings last between 12 to 15 years, if you are Mexican more. After the I130 has been approved, years of waiting come until the priority date that you have is current on the bulletin, then your mom can adjust status. Also, since it takes so long, if you turn over 21, you are out of your aun'ts petition and your parents will have to file for you.

I am 21, however because of a law bush signed back in 2001, i have to subtract the number of years the case got delayed

If I get married, will having this petition be beneficial for me?
