Do you have specific questions that you are concerned about? You will need the USC birth certificate. The copy of the marriage license. 4 G-325A's for the USC and 4 G-325A's for the Foriegn spouse. You can also send copies of photos, lease agreements, affidavits of bonsfide marriage etc.

Along with those things angela mentioned - you will also need 2 passport style photos of you and your relative (spouse, I am assuming) and the birth certificates of any children you may have together.

The forms themselves are pretty straight forward - but please feel free to ask any specific questions you might have.

I am not sure when it changed, but on the VJ form it is updated on the guide and I had three people tell me only one is needed. There is also a PDF file somewhere that someone sent me showing what forms req how many photos. no NOA1 yet. I hope today. It says on the Website they mailed it on the 25th from Cali. I hope it didn't get lost.

Children's birth certificates are not required - they simply evidence of a bona fide marriage. If something is a requirement and you did not send it, you have to wait until they send you an RFE (Request for Evidence) for it.

I didn't send anything other than what was specifically asked for in the instructions and we never received an RFE. It's up to you if you want to send the extras to prove bona fide marriage, but they are not required.

I didn't file an I-130 so I don't have personal experience. But the instructions say:

What Documents Do You Need to Prove Family Relationship?

H. Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, the petitioner, and your spouse together; or

You only need children Birth Certificates if the I-130 you are filing are for them. If it is for a spouse you will not need it.

The other point to note when submitting evidence of a bona fide marriage with the I-130 is that evidence submitted at this stage will assist greatly if one is from a high fraud country whereby visa applicants are scrutinzed more at the visa interview, or if one has any red flags. Reason - An approved petition is prima facie evidence of eligibility under the Act, and a consulate officer must have substantial evidence relevant to petition validity not previously considered by DHS in order to send the petition back for revocation. If a petition is approved with evidence of a bona fide marriage, then that assists greatly, as a consulate officer would have to find other reasons not considered by DHS/USCIS.

As the instructions state (in kitkat's post), it is a requirement to now submit evidence of a bona fide marriage with the I-130. IMO, think about your circumstances, and the consulate you will be going through in determining how much of this evidence you will submit at this stage. It can and may, make all the difference at the interview stage.
