I'm new to this. Well, I found the forum about seven months ago, here's a little about me. I got my I-601 waiver denied yesterday. I follow-up with Joy&Pain's timeline (Congratulations), because it was very close to my. I filed I-601 and I-212 on 05-16-07 in Panama. My husband is a USC. I went to the U.S at the age of 6, my dad asked for political Asylum and after 12 years of waiting it got denied. I finish high school and continued into college. I got a lawyer to really know what I could do and really find-out what my situation really was. It showed a deportation order. I graduated in 2004 and got married. while waiting for the I-130, I got deported. Now after waiting 2 years in Panama, we got an answer. My husband is tired about this whole situation, and just wants to go to Canada and be together again. Just wanted to know how to appeal, what should I do?, Has any one gotten an approval after denial? And how long will it take? Thank you for any help.

Sorry about the denial. I really can't help you much. But in general, appeal is taking up to 18 months to process and I think you only have 30 days to appeal (maybe???). Does Panama allow you to refile your waiver or do Motion to reconsider? I don't really know the steps, but it's better than appeal. I've seen an approval after denial, but it's a long process. Maybe you should post your question under this forum but use the "Panama thread". They may answer your questions better. You also might wanna do a consultation with an experience lawyer, like Laurel Scott or ask questions during her free chat every wednesday at 11 am central time. Best of luck
