Deportation Question

Does anyone know a person who was deported directly from jail? How did it go down?

Does anyone know a person who should have been deported but was released?

My friend's brother was in jail in the state of Georgia for 7 years. He was due to get out in January, but was left in jail until immigration was able to get down there and pick up all the people that they were taking., So even though he was suppose to get out in January he had to wait until the last of that group had completed their sentence (in May) because immigration was only going to make one trip insted of several trips. Anyway they picked up about 12 men and just drove them into the nearest border and made sure they went back to Mexico. They told them that if they tried to come back that they would be in jail for life. My friend had to wire him money so that he could take the bus back home. I also know that the husbands of 2 other friends were in jail for about 4-5 months and then they were just released, so I guess it all depends on the kind of charge that they have.

my husband sat in jail for 2 months before he was finally deported he said they took him from Norfolk Va to Washington DC airport didnt handcuff him or anything just told him to behave :) It was all smooth the guy that put him on the plane even called me at work to tell me he had just put him on the plane and that he said to tell me he loved me. It was a relief.
