Coat the salmon steaks with some of the butter mix you made.
Put in the oven for 10 minutes (depends on the thickness of your steak).
Rebaste half way through
At the end, put the broiler on for 2 minutes

Huuumm!! Marie this sounds delicious & healthy. I will do it tonight. Because yesterday, as every Monday I started a diet:bounce: & I got salmon @ the supermarket.
Question??? Where do I get the Herbes de Provence?

I do salmon steaks too, but on the grill rather than broiling them in the oven...

I still haven't masters the grill IBM ....lol plus it's cold out there!
Sinfronteras, I found them in the spice aisle. You can put sage and oregano if you don't want to go out there.
I also squirt lemon before i eat it.

The grill does one good thing for salmon compared to the oven: It keeps the smell outside. Since there is quite a bit of oil they should be watched as they cook. I do use the non-stick, and they cook and brown the outsides rather quickly.

for sure it smells but I washed everything right after cooking it and it doesn't smell anymore :)
I used a roasting pan with a grill and it was real easy to clean up.
