We are now at 21 weeks in I601 nightmare at London. Been in "Under Review" since the Dec 17 update. In the meantime you see cases going through well under the 12-15 weeks quoted timeline. Many in less than 2 weeks total. Anyone know what is going on?

Not really I don't think. He had 2 minor CIMT convictions in 1979, the multiple is why he has to go the waiver route. But he should certainly qualify for the rehabillitation part of 212(h) as the convictions are well over 15 years old and totally clean record and gainfully employed since. In fact if the one offense had only been prosecuted as one conviction he would even have qualified for the petty offense exemption and would not even need the waiver.

Just a shot in the dark..maybe there was a name match hit causing the delay. Have you tried to get your senator to do an inquiry. I don't know if they will for just 21 weeks...many waivers take a year or more so some senators want you to wait before doing an inquiry. Good Luck!!

Thanks Chapital. No he went through name check before they would even submit the waiver papers to DHS (the name check took 4 months!). I guess maybe the Senator route now. London tell you 12-15 weeks so 21 is way up there now.

I'd recco contacting your congressman and/or state reps office to have them make an inquiry.
