Does anyone know if El Salvador has assylum?

I don't think they have anything right now. Back in 2001 or 2002 you could file for TPS, and they might have had assylum at some point, but to my knowledge there is nothing offered now, only extensions for the people who had TPS before. I will say that I have had 2 different people say that they saw on the Spanish news that El Salvador is offering new TPS. I personally haven't seen anything about it, but I want to check into it further. It would be great if they did. Are you from El Salvador? I love to see people from there because we are definitely a minority on this forum.

My ex is from El Salvador. Right now I am helping his little brother come back through a petition with his wife. My cousin also married his Uncle. I know many who have been through the process already.

Also on the TPS I believe you have to have entered the US prior to a certain date to qualify. I have not done TPS papers in about 3 years so I am not sure if that has changed. I will look into it more because my Tio has two of his son's here and he is changing their status in the US and he is not married to a USC so there must be something. I will try and talk to him.
