On a whim, I bought this old 1952 sewing machine at the flea market last weekend. My MIL and husband (impressed?) taught me how to thread it and I've made a set of pillowcases and a tote bag..This is fun, but I want to make a dress! Does anyone else sew? I haven't done anything yet that I need a pattern for. I LOVE loose sundresses, though, so I'd like to attempt those before summer gets here..

I love the idea of sewing... my mom is excellent at sewing. I've stuck to knitting and crocheting so far...
Some day in my older years (ha!) I plan to have more time and spend some of trying to sew...
It's great that you've already made a couple things! Isn't it such a good feeling to actually make something with your own two hands?

I love sewing...I actually hemmed my curtians up yesterday and make some wraps for them with buttons. It looks really good. I have 2 sewing machines and a serger. I have made dresses in the past. Start with shorts/pants. Then move up to zippers...(I love zippers now) and then shirts/skirts/dresses.
