Geez!!!!! It has been nearly three weeks since we have heard anything from anyone. No approvals, no visa-picks. What the heck is going on over there. Grrrrrr. We have been waiting almost ten months and after all this talk that they are speeding things up at Juarez there is still nothing happening! They don't realize that time is a precious thing. I'm so frustrated with these guys that I just want to up and leave with my wife. Grrrr. Hopefully soon they will pick-up the pace, and we will all be able to go home with our spouses.

They say: Best things come to those who wait.

and

when it rains it pours.

So we have been waiting for a long time for it to pour approvals...I hope to see it soon!

I just don't understand how August and September waivers are supposedly DONE yet we have not seen that many approvals. Do you guys think maybe it takes longer to mail the waivers out from Mexico City? I would really like to know how the heck they can't get these waivers out. Also why not use email notifications so that we can call the 202 or the 900 numbers and find out the status of our case? Somebody needs to bring DHS into the 21st century!!!

I don't see nothing wrong with all things you've mentioned, Chula.. :)

I'm sure there ARE many ways to scream on a board besides doing all CAPS.

Pissed off at what exactly? That it's taking time? You know they are understaffed. Not every single person who filed a waiver is on this board

QUOTE]

I think it was me who first suggested that maybe alot of them are on vacation right now, so yes it's just assumed.....

It seems like vacation time, so I'm hoping maybe that's why we haven't been seeing approvals lately!

We want approvals!!! Let's get August rolling!

So we were lost that they received 7,520 cases from Oct 06-June 07 and that the 1 adjuctatro does about 50-80 without beein interrupted (30 if was) so that means that if there were 3 people working on these cases then,
3 people x 33 cases a day = 99 let's say 100
20 work days in a month x 100 a day =2,000 cases per month
7520 pending cases /2,000 per month =3.76 months
So it means that by end of Oct 07 beg. of Nov 07 everything should be cleared, so why haven't we seen any approvals...... unless they only have like 1 person working....
I mean, if you have people from Mexico city and TJ processing waivers, then it means cases are beeing shipped to those cities, quich equals shipping cost. Wouldn't make more sence to just have temp workers from those places relocate for the few months instead of shipping waivers back and forth...
Sorry for the dum equations, I am just trying to figure out what exactly are they doing....:confused1:

It just doesn't make sence....:dunno:

I would think that yes it take longer to mail out the approval letter from Mexico city. But have faith and you get your answer soon. IT HARD TO WAIT;)

I am just as frustrated, but I don't think its that easy to get temp workers, I mean do you really want someone who has no clue about the waiver process to be reviewing your case?

Please we need to see more approvals!!!!!!

Did you know that all of the Embassy's employ TEMP workers?:wink:
I read an article on a Omnibudsman web site that the Embassy's have a very hard time recruiting workers and have to resort to seasonal temporary workers to help relieve the work load. These people aren't really paid that good and trained for very long periods of time,,,,,,it is a well know fact.

This is really bad that they have people working in Embassy's working with confidential info that could be stolen or whatever else if not scrutnized more closely. Makes me go Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,:confused1:

Hey Nadiah,

Concerning CDJ,,,,,there is no logical rhyme or reason in how they operate?

Look at how they process Waivers our of order. I am thinking since there are 3 Embassies involved that is how they get out of order as some are processed in different locations and trickle out through the mail. You seem very correct in your calculations of possibly how many the people @ the Embassy work, but who really knows how many people they have working there?:confused1

It is just not fair that we are stuck in the back log and have remained being treated as step-children and they just work on our waivers and Visa pick up appts when they get to it, this has gone on way too long! I believe that additional workers are not being brought in after all since Oscar announced over 3 wks ago that they were managing this quite well,,,,,,,,,,,,where are the approvals?

Very discouraging and stressful and this just keeps our families separated even longer!

Hey mamacita....maybe they could utilize the extra workers at this point for pickups...what do you think?
