How to get visa extension?

Is there anybody who knows how to extend existing visa? My friend is here in US on tourist visa , he would like to go to school here, but he's visa expires in Dec.'07. Is there any way that school can get him student visa and he would be able to stay here legally untill he finish he's education?? How can he do that, any sugestions??? Thank you:wink:

You need a F1 Student Visa to study, he can certainly see whats available and speak to potential schools on a visitors visa.

He would apply for a F1 at his Consulate. The school will usually have somebody who can assist foreign students.

Thank you Coventrated for your response !!!! How can he apply for the visa at his consulate if his in US, can he do it from here or he would have to come back and apply frome home country???

The interview would be at his home Consulate. He can apply from here.
