Pretty funny. Be prepared not to have kids around when all the adults can laugh at adult men wrestling naked. If that doesn't gross you out.

For those unfamiliar with the premise, many of the people "interviewed" (including a couple Congresscritters) by the fictional Kazakhstani journalist Borat think that it is legit. It does give insights to how Americans feel about immigrants and their comfort zone. As an example, he's sitting around for the southern dinner, and comments about the three women there:

"In my village they would go crazy with these two. This one [points at the third woman], not so much."

It's a minister's wife, and you can see him go from beaming to crestfallen in a fraction of a second. Soon after he announces that him and his wife are leaving the party.

LOL - I laughed so hard during this movie, and the line you quoted, that was probably the most horribly funny moment I've ever seen in a movie. I felt uncomfortable the whole time, but I was laughing.. it's an interesting viewing experience.

I loved Borat. It was such a funny movie. Sasha Baron Cohen is a genius! He plays on prejudices and societal norms. I love it.

And I agree the line you quoted IBM is one of the most brilliant comedic lines I've heard.

I laughed so hard at that movie, even though at the same time I was thinking to myself how awful it was.

The part where he's with the southern people and goes to the bathroom and the lady is explaining how to use the toilet, then he brings out the bag with his poop in it and tries to hand it to her......... I just about hurt myself laughing so hard.

Afterwards I was mad at myself for laughing at such an awfull movie, but I couldn't help it. It is very funny.

Yes, and when those societal norms are crossed. He was critizied for parts like the American crowd singing along with him in a fictional Kazakhstani song "My Country has a Problem" (with the lyrics "throw the Jew down the well") as Anti-Semetic (Cohen is Jewish, and comments "Borat essentially works a tool. By himself pretending to be anti-Semitic, he lets people lower their guard and expose their own prejudice."). He also explains it better than me saying that racism is often a conformity in a mob mentality to say the segment are a "dramatic demonstration of how racism feeds on dumb conformity, as much as rabid bigotry.".

Ok, just read the Wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borat

My point is we have to "do somethin' with that shovel" rather than "lying around getting a suntan" (from another favorite movie of mine)...
