We filed our I130 and I485 together. When we appeared for our interview, the officer requested further information and advised us to mail it directly to him, he suggested this was faster than him giving us another interview date. We mailed him the info requested on September 21, 2007. Yet in a letter dated September 22, 2007, before they had received our info (signed for by USCIS on September 24) we received a letter stating that no further action can be taken on the I485 until they received the requested info (a favorable court disposition). Following the details of the letter, we immediately filed a I120B Motion to Reopen. We received the receipt from the NYC Field Office confirming receipt and payment. Subsequently on October 4, 2007, my wife received a notice that her I130 had been approved. Any idea when we can expect this case to be reopened and/or the I485 to be approved? Any idea what to expect dealing with the NYC Field Office in this type of matter?
