I watched this movie today. So dark and sad...
Along with the story about fastfood beef it also has a second story line about illegal Mexican workers...

There is another one called "Supersize Me" you should watch it....this is why I don't eat fast food!

Supersize me is a great deterrent to eating McDonalds!!!

Fastfood Nation is good, but kind of contrived. It's based on a non-fiction book about the industrial food system in the U.S. and fast food restaurants, etc, and they made a narrative movie out of it. The immigrant part is marginally realistic, but overall it's a disturbing movie.

If you eat fast food a lot and want to stop, I would recommend both!

Fast food nation is pretty good. I am surprised it didn't get more attention. I loved Wilmer Valderrama in it. I think you should watch it, ojos. I watched it and swore off McDonalds for 3 months or so...we made our way back to Mickey D's eventually.

I saw Fastfood Nation too.. my mom got it from the library for me because it had Mexicans in it (too funny) but yeah, the movie is for sure sad.. and I hate the one part at the meat factory at the end... the one guy :( ah! so sad. It was a pretty interesting movie though. I enjoyed watching it.

I actually think that Fastfood Nation and Supersize Me have two vastly different points, but anyway... Both SHOULD turn you off to fast food.
And really, I'm sure the meat plant wasn't too unrealistic. Nor was the info about fecal counts in the meat. But hey...:dunno: who am I to say?

Julissa, I agree, Wilmer V. was awesome in this movie. Convincingly Mexican for a Venezualan!
