I've kinda always wanted to be a photographer, but to do so it takes a lot of time, patience, and most of all MONEY. I've always taken a ton of pictures at different events (or for no reason at all). I always wanted to take photography in high school, but my school didn't offer it. Well, one year in college I was able to take a black and white photography class.I wanted to take more because I fell in love with photography even more. Unfortunately the school I was going to specialized in photography and the only way I could take any more classes was to be in the actual program (which i couldn't afford).
I bought a Nikon N55 which is an SLR camera (this was a classic black and white class not digital... i kinda wish now it were digital because I want one of those digi SLRs SO bad) We had to buy all of our own developing supplies as well... Film reels, developer, finisher, umm some other chemical I forgot the name of (for keeping water spots off), photo paper, developing tank for the film, etc etc etc.
My time in the photo lab was unforgettable. One day a week I got to spend 3 hours in the dark room. It seriously was the coolest thing ever. That class was the only one I never skipped. I would even go in on my free time during lab hours to develop my negatives/pictures.
Here are some samples of some of the photos I took in that class...

I haven't had much time to be really creative lately with photography and I hardly ever use my SLR anymore... I just use my lil Canon digi for everything because it's not so big and bulky. Can't really do any cool effects with it either, but it takes some pretty snazzy little photos as well. Anyway, hope you all enjoyed!!
