Cardmaking anyone?

Are you into cardmaking? That's a hobby that I enjoy. I'm about to try my hand at scrapbooking.

I never got into scrapbooking, but I have made cards. Computer designed.

bohorquez, I've done quite a few scrapbooks. They are time-consuming, but looking back now totally worth it. I've got around 5 completed.

I've never done any card-making, but seems like it would be along the same lines. Maybe once I have more time.

That's probably why I got into card making. I was always making them on the computer and one day it dawned on me that I could a lot nicer ones if I hand made them :)

Oops that post was for Jenny, but Joy&Pain I think they will be worth all the work. I got smaller books (8.5 x 11) versus the 12 x 12. Those seem more daunting. I figure if I do well with the smaller ones then the bigger ones will be my next chanllenge.

I admire fancy handmade cards and scrapbooking, but I spend all my money on yarn to feed my knitting addiction. My wedding pics and C's baby pictures are still loose! I have the albums, but haven't had the time or motivation to put them together...pathetic!

That's why I thought about doing the scrapbooking. I hated pulling out the shoe boxes of the pictures ... all dusty from under the bed !

I do both. I am really impressed with the card my cousin and I came up with for my sisters memorial.

Like this....

Dark purple card
Shiny purplish/opal paper on the outside. We glued the card and the paper together where the card bended and then took a Purple ribbon and wrapped it around the bend and tied a bow. I will try and post a picture later.

I haven't done any card making unless I'm drawing them... but I am into scrapbooking! I have made 3 albums..one of my last year in high school, one for my first year in college, and then I went into a dryspell until after I met my ex and started a scrapbook(It was getting really goodtoo. Too bad for him it won't be continuing haha!) It's time consuming, but so much fun! I was even able to do it at work sometimes because it was so slow! Let me know if you ever want to see any samples of my stuff.. I can scan 'em or something.

I LOVE scrapbooking....mostly I am really good at buying scrapbooking supplies, but one of my goals for the next few months while my husband has the kids in Mexico is to get caught up on my scrapbooks...for me if I get the table set-up and everything out I can scrapbook for hours while I watch mindless TV in the background. If you are a digital photo person there are some really cool online places where you can upload your photos and add designs and captions and then have them print off a bound book...probably cheaper than all the paper and stickers for regular scrapbooking

well i love to scrapbook. i have one done with all the family another one of all the family started i made one for my husband from when he was in the army here in mexico. i have one started for my oldest daughter for school and then i have the other 3 kids to still start. my sister sells creative memorie so i bought alot of stuff from there and now she told me to sell the stuff down here. so i guess i am going to try to sell it down here.

It's really hard for me to start scrapbooking right since my little one always wants me to lay down with him when its time for bed. So when I do I end falling asleep myself!

Thanks! I really wanted to make it pretty, but not over the top crafty. When I can I will take pics of ones that I got for xmas. My sisters are very crafty too.

I will see if I can take pics of some of my scrapbooking pages.
